📚 Balance of life! 📚
By Dr. Job Mamo
Someone had a favorite child. He endeavored to teach his son how to live a wise and balanced life.
But he did not seem to succeed. The boy realized that he was not doing what he was told to do.
He sent a wise man to learn the art of living, for he was well-known in the area.
The boy went to the sage and said, “I have come to learn how to live my life in a strategic way.”
The wise man said, “I have a little work to do now. Come back two hours later. In the meantime, let me give you a job so that you can do something. ”He handed him a teaspoon and filled it with oil.
He then said, “Spend two hours waiting for you to see the magnificent treasures in the building.
But be careful, the oil on the spoon should never be spilled. ” The boy accepted the offer, checked the clock, and slowly walked out with a spoonful of oil in his hand to visit the building.
Two hours later, the boy returned to the wise man. After introducing him, the sage said, “Have you seen the ancient painting on the wall in the dining room? Have you seen a garden that has been famous for ten years? Have you seen a library that has all the knowledge of the world? ” The boy frowned.
After walking for two hours, he focused on keeping the oil from the spoon in his hand.
The wise man realized that what he was trying to teach had failed him, and he said, “Take the oil from the spoon again and look back at these and other wonderful things I have told you.”
He got a second chance and came back with a little breath. After a two-hour visit, he returned with a smile and told the sage everything he had seen.
Waiting until he finished, the wise man said, “Where is the oil that I told you not to pour?” it has. When the boy bent down to look at the spoon in his hand, Leka looked around and relaxed, and the oil spilled out.
The wise man said, “Successful life means living a life of balance and strategy. A balanced and orderly life means not only remembering what is in your hand but also appreciating it. ”
Like oil, we have a responsibility to care for our lives. At the same time, there are opportunities for us to play, just as there are for recreation. A successful person is one who balances these two.
When we are playing, having fun, having fun, and enjoying our social life, it is wise to be careful not to neglect our trust and our oil.
Just as this young man had to balance the oil in his hand with the opportunity to see the great things around him, so did we!
