Engineer Kitaw Ejigu About Meles Zenawi.
He was born on February 25, 1948, in Bonga, Kefa State, to his father, Ejigu Haile, and his mother, Askale Belayneh.
After completing his primary and secondary education in Bonga, Wakana, Jimma, he completed his higher education at the Polytechnic College in Bahir Dar.
He went to Japan to study language and economics at Osaka University, Hiroshima University, Industrial and Automotive Engineering.
He later earned a master’s degree in Business Administration in the United States and eventually earned a doctorate in aerospace engineering with a keen interest in education.
He was married to his wife, Stella Ejigu, and was the father of two sons, Benjamin, Jared, and Abigail.
Dr. Punch passed away on January 13, 2006, at the age of 58, in Austin, Texas.
Dr. Punish was a great man who was loved for his good character, praised for his humility, admired for his work, gained many followers for his vision, a role model for many, and a national pride.
