Ethiopian-born Sarah Menker earns $ 85 million
Born in Ethiopia, Sarah Menker was a Wall Street Commodity saleswoman.
Leaving the job in 2014, she set up a company called Gro Intelligence in Kenya.
This organization was established to fill information gaps in agriculture around the world. Over the years,
the organization has collected a wealth of data on factors that may affect food production, from grain to soil quality and climate.
Based on these trillions of data from various markets, the organization is now able to predict global demand, supply, and prices.
One of the world’s leading data analysts on agriculture and climate change is Sarah Menkir Gro Intelligence.
Her plan, however, is to create a mechanism for countries and food producers to adjust their food chains and help tackle climate change.
This plan has attracted the attention of investors.
A number of US companies, led by Intel, have agreed to invest $ 85 million to make the plan a reality.
Sarah had already received $ 17.4 million in start-up capital for the same company in 2017.
We understand that she was able to raise a large amount of data with that money and did a lot of work, so she is now able to get the money mentioned in the second round or Sirius B this week.
